Ways to Donate

Generous donors allow us to fund our programs that support Washington High students and staff. Whether it is a donation, a memorial gift, purchase of commemorative brick or the purchase of merchandise at a reunion or event, we are excited that we are able to apply your entire donation to our work.

ANNUAL DONATON

Donations are our main source of funds. Your donations can be made at any time during the year and in any denomination. We suggest a minimum giving amount of $20 for an individual, $30 for a couple, $15 for senior citizen (65+) and $5 for recent graduates (first 5 years after graduation). Donations can be made via PayPal, Venmo, credit card or by check. The Foundation is 501(c)3 non-profit organization so your donation is tax deductible.

COMMEMORATIVE BRICKS

The Circle of Honor is a commemorative circle of bricks around the flagpole in front of our main school building. Join us in adding your name or that of a loved one to continue the proud heritage of Washington High School. Your donation will be a memorialized on a beautifully engraved 1/8” thick brass plaque mounted to a brick.

CHARITABLE BEQUESTS

A charitable bequest specifying a donation to the WHS Alumni Foundation in your will is one of the easiest and most flexible ways that you can leave a gift to Washington High School that will make a lasting impact. If are interested in learning more, the Alumni Foundation will gladly work with you to see that your gift benefits the school community as you desire.

GIFTS IN MEMORY OF

Make a gift in memory of a family member or classmate. We will recognize your your honoree in our newsletter and on our website. Feel free to include a picture and a few lines of text. Memorial gifts can be of any amount and can be made towards the general fund or directed to one of our scholarships or our staff grants.

Do I have to pay a membership fee? The Foundation asks for a membership donation each calendar year to continue our ability to provide scholarships and grants. Suggested minimum giving amounts: Annual membership - $20 Senior Citizen (65+) Annual Membership - $15 Recent Graduate - $5 for the first 5 years after graduation

Can I make a recurring donation? Yes. When paying by Paypal or credit card, you can indicate you'd like to make your payment a monthly or annual payment.

What methods can I use to donate? The Foundation accepts donations via Paypal, Venmo, credit card or by mail. See donation links below.

Can I direct my donation to a named scholarship or other grant? Yes. When you complete the donation form used the message portion of the form to provide information as where to direct your donation.

Is my donation tax deductible? The Alumni Foundation is a non-profit public charity 501(c)3 organization.

Can I make an In Memorium donation to honor a classmate or staff? Yes. Donations made to honor classmates or staff are welcomed. We will post information about In Memorium donations on our website.
