Staff Support and Grant Program
The Washington High Alumni Foundation is proud to provide a classroom grant program available to all Washington High school staff to assist in providing quality instruction and unique learning experience for the students. Our goal is to help fill the gap to fund things that would not be covered by a district/school budget or where the budget falls short. An application process provides the WHSAF board with information about requests.
Staff Grant Program Overview
Initial Review Deadline for School Year 2024-25 is Friday, September 27th. Applications will be reviewed at the October Board meeting.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Staff can complete the application form which asks for basic information about the request, including:
-
Needed materials or proposed activity and an estimated cost
-
Describe student learning outcomes and the number of students impacted
-
Obtain approval of the Department Chair
If selected, funds will be provided to the school and/or directly to the instructor or vendor depending on the request.

FOLLOW UP
The staff member will provide the Alumni Board with a brief report on the outcome of the activity or impact of the materials/experience. Ideally, we ask that pictures or videos that can be shared on our website and in our newsletter be included so we can report to alumni and other friends of the Foundation on how donations are being used to support the school.
